... John. I think it must have something to do with the WebTV screen. Your posts only go slightly more than halfway across my screen.

I think the reason that you sometimes get split lines is just the opposite -- they're being entered in a wider format with a hard return at the end of the line, then your screen wraps the text when it doesn't fit, but still has to put a new line it at the hard return. So you get a long line, then a short one.

The formatting makes your messages longer vertically, but not a big deal.
