I tried Bluelight last week and the one thing that was annoying was that a banner would appear at the bottom of my screen (it took about 1/3 the width of the screen and 1/5 the height) if I was not on a web page of a 'partner' of Bluelight's. I got so annoyed that I canceled, but if you can stand the ads, it appears to be a good deal.
A good deal (but not free) is through CostCo: MSN has a deal that if you sign up for 3 month at a time, you pay $36, which works out to $12 a month. If you stay with them, you pay in 3 month chunks. A good price for a good service. And they do provide some content (like AOL, but unlike other cheap ISP services).
If anyone else has tips, please post, I'm sure other people would be interested in hearing.....
