Not sure of any body of water at or near the North pole. This photo is carried at snopes.com, but for some reason the site is down, or not asseccible to me. The reference there may substantiate validity of photo, or may not.

However, I suspect this is an Urban Legend.

Seems to me, going back to my Astronomy classes, the moon and the sun are more closer in size (as viewed from the Earth) than they are significantly different in this photo.

I also suspect the wording..."An amazing photo and not one easily duplicated." Unless you had Photoshop!

But hey, I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
