I read the thread(s) and thought . . . back in the early 1970’s I bought a set from Bud Jones.
Respectfully using “Cigarman’s” template I offer . . .
1. For the most part my obtaining them is not exactly “shrouded in mystery” as so many others seem to be.
2. No one denies they are Bud Jones chips.
3. They were made for me to be used as I wished and if I knew any high rollers I would willingly give as gifts.
4. I ordered 250 white, 200 red, and 150 blue and paid about $125+/- in 1970’s USD.
5. I still have all the chips so they will not be seen on eBay or Jackpot, soon.
6. Friends say the initials are “HOW” but they are really “MDH” or at least that’s what I ordered.
7. I’ve not met any major league poker players but I have met Steve Bedo and he doesn’t have any of these chips.
