think you meant "libel".

Slander: Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation.

Libel: false publication, as in writing, print, signs, or pictures, that damages a person's reputation.

From what I have read, you may want to look up "rare" as well:

Infrequently occurring; uncommon
