I agree with you on that one.
In the case in point (which it appears is now hypthetical anyway) I would argue that the person taking the obs chip into the casino has the right to retain that chip but NO right to compensation should they ask for it.

If I walk into a casino and try and cash obs chips then all things being equal I will be told "Sorry, you are stuck with them"
