Hey Katie! This happened to me once before, but with different plastics. I had stored some plastic worms in an older tackle box. The box was from the 1960s, the plastic worms from about 1983. (Why do I remember the dates?) The worms "ate" right thru the tackle box shelf. I had a gooey mess. What causes this?!
