Since no one answered my initial post about this subject a few days ago I decided to called the Harrah's New Orleans casino cage myself and they said the chips used prior to Katrina are still valid, So I would take that NO on new issued chips.

I have to say the hordes of people who sold these chips on for exuberant prices because of the demand result from all the bids made out like bandits because now the same chips are being used now that were used prior to Katrina the sale price will most likely drop down to what they originally were selling for prior to the casino closing and the people who bought them won't be able to sell them for what they bought them for. I saw Harrah's New Orleans $1 and $5 chips going as high as $10 to $15 each.
