Seems like you are suggesting having speakers who are researchers. People who learned about gaming, Las Vegas or whatever by studying it. The club has had the historical figures themselves as speakers. None of the people you mentioned are in the same category as Robert Maheu or Claudine Williams. And I for one would much rather have people like that as speakers than researchers.
