That artical is just a columnist spouting off about why there IS NOT a crackdown. Of course this guy's angle is he is in Nevada and wants more poker players in Nevada. Kinda short-sighted, IMHO, as the current poker boom is in part the result of the explosion of internet poker. More people playing anywhere means more people will play when they come to Vegas.
Did you see the 60 Minutes piece on Internet Poker? The general Federal consensus is that something should be done but there is ZERO momentum to do anything. Stuff dosen't get done in DC without momentum.
I for one am not worrying to much about the "jack-booted thugs" knocking down my door at 2:00 AM because I play $2-$4 hold 'em online.
