Mark. There is a problem running a limit tourny within the constraints.
Consider room availability, and the tournament 'staffing'.
This year the tourny started one hour earlier, yet due to the increased number of participants (I think the actual number that showed was 178) it still ran on until 1 a.m.
With setting up and packing up thats close to 9 hours straight for the organisers.

I know what its like, I was involved both sides. I set the players chips out ready for the dealers before it started. I played until I was knocked out maybe 3 hours in. I carried straight on helping with coloring up, separating colored up chips between 2004/2005 (so many entrants we had to supplement the chips used with last years), sorting the chips ready for those people who had to collect their set the same night (as soon as they were knocked out) and to be ready for sale first thing next a.m. at the show. I was last to leave after also gathering up and accounting for the dealers decks, buttons & paperwork, as Gene and Sandy were almost dead on their feet by then. That was about 2 a.m. I had been there since setup started approx 4.30.

The room had to be cleared that night. Its a multi-function room which was needed for a different function from 6 the next morning.

Sure you could argue it could still be 'limit' but raise the blinds higher and more often, but then it may as well be no limit anyway.

I have played poker for a very short time only, including only maybe 50 hours of live regular play and 5 Tourny's. Ive faired equally badly in limit and no-limit grin
