Here is the reply I got earlier today, from the seller.
Hi: The chips on Ebay are as described. The two chips, a $1 and a $5, just on Ebay last week were written up right and brought a $56 bid on the $1 and a $100 bid on the $5. Check the guides out and see for yourself the 50c that the S S kept in Las Vegas, the $1 chip that was on their tables also guaranteed. The $5 I have not researched but I am sure it was part of the S S 's order from Bud Jones in the late 1960's. The Las Vegas Slipper kept the 50c and the $1 and kept the $5 in storage. What they did with the $1 and $5 I do not know but the $1 for sure was used on the tables by Howard Hughes. Would you keep these chips on your tables if you were Howard Hughes, a very fussy man. He kept the 50c
and had to put the $1's out as he needed them but was not happy with them. I am not going to explain away my proof. Check with the experts on chips not catalogues. I know and have proof 8 people paid a good price for a $1 chip like this one and all were offered their money back and all refused. There is a kind of proof they are chips that were owned by and used by the Silver Slipper in Las Vegas. Too bad Bud Jones is not alive today. Ask the LV chip specialist that looks after the LV chips on Chipguide.com. I will also. BUT I already know the answer. It is up to you to find out your answer. Regards. Jcmmr51998. PS: If you know of any for sale let me know as I have only one left and it is promised to a Federal Agent (retired).
