I know you got your rooms compeed but here is something others may benefit from. We are going to Las Vegas with some non-gambling friends who have never been there before. We checked rates at numerous hotels and while we could have stayed at Circus for a few bucks less we determined that they would rather stay mid strip if we could find a decent place. When we check rates we normally look at more days than we plan to actually stay just to see what the rates were every day around the time of our trip. It sounds strange but whenever you check rates at any Harrahs property they are considerably less for one day than for a multiday stay. Also they ask for your players card number and the rates are lower if you put in a second card number in the space provided.
I also figured I would outsmart their computer and just book several single day stays in a row to get the better rates. Well that didn't work. After booking the first day it wouldn't let me book more days within a week because I already had a reservation.
We ended up booking at the Flamingo also but I had to get to a reservation supervisor to get the single day rates. Here is what the rates were: single day $55, first day of a multiday stay $80, weekends were $90 and $110. So for our three nite stay we saved $65.
Fortunately our friends booked a package so they got a decent rate.
