Jim Blanchard of ASM (formerly Burt Co) just found the record for these chips.
30,000 x $1 in 1973
8,000 x $5 in 1974
The record does not unfortunately show the location delivered. However Jim gave me a clue be suggesting I research when a certain regulation was established. I just called someone in gaming admin and confirmed the following:
Extract from what is now Reg 12.030 para 2
"(a) The name of the issuing gaming establishment must be inscribed on each side of each chip and token, and the city or other locality and the state where the establishment is located must be inscribed on at least one side of each chip and token;"
was first introduced c1969.
The Silver Slipper chips were delivered in 1973 & 1974. Regardless of where they were delivered, they could not have been in play in Las Vegas at any time.
Thanks again to Jim for helping me get to that one
