Pick up any Chipco chip in your collection. Rotate it left to right to show the other side. If that side is upside DOWN, that is coin alignment (I mistakenly added an extra "l" in the word in earlier posts.) Rotate it to show an upside face, you have a medal aligned chip. Most Chipcos are coin aligned. I'm very glad that they realize a need for some variation in making new chips that are similar to older chips, even if the varition is sometimes difficult for collectors to notice. ....better than reissuing the same chips.....
