Funny just recently I've started having the same problem. All of a sudden I can't remember a new phone number. For years, I couldn't forget one.

By way of an anecdote, one time I was walking through the McCarran airport and my buddy said he needed to go to the pharmacy and pick up his medicine as soon as we got back home. I opened my cell phone and dialed the number I had only dialed once in my life - and that was five years before. I just couldn't forget one, and now I can't remember one - or don't seem to want to.

I think this type of memory problem is more a never really getting it problem. I don't feel like I'm forgetting as much as I was never really paying attention enough to learn it in the first place. And then we mistakenly call it a bad memory.

My two cents anyway.

P.S. A scintillating contest it was. But SP didn't work for me tonight. Only won one hand; that with aces full under the gun. Never made a bet until the river with two little pair and an ace on the board. Everybody just knew I sucked out with some kind of ridiculous little full. Guess again - pocket rockets. Oh well, at least everything didn't go wrong.
