My one piece of advice to get the most out of the convention is to volunteer to help out when the opportunity arises. The memories you'll take home of working with your fellow collectors and meeting people that have always just been names on the Chip Board or in the club magazine are worth far more than the chips you'll take home. If your wife wants to get involved sign her up to volunteer too.
Of course there ARE tons of great chips to see, so spend the time between now and June organizing your collection so you know exactly what you've already got and make a list of what you want to look for.
