By no means am I a big player in casino chip collecting, but I have had transactions with both James and Doug from ebay. In fact two of my most prized chips came from them. The T-bird below from Doug, and the Fremont from James. Both transactions were perfect in every way, and both sellers actually sent the chip before my payment arrived!
For whatever reason, I was sorry to see them gone from ebay. Even if most of their offerings ended up beyond my budget, I was able to vicariously "collect" chips in my watching folder on ebay. I always enjoyed dreaming of obtaining one of those elusive chips at a good price.
I'm sure both James and Doug will have continued success without ebay (or under different id's), but new collectors, such as I, have lost a valuable resource. I don't know what differences or politics that have come about between them and other collectors/sellers, and don't really care. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more chips from either in the future!
