They chose to call London the 'Ritz Carlton' retaining the several hundred year old 'Ritz' name for prestige.

I dont think they ever called the Cannes property 'Ritz'

This is why I thought the chip was Cannes in the first place. The 'Ritz' logo is a Lion. The Carlton logo is the crown.

Carlton own a third casino property also. San Juan, PR.

Carlton sold both casinos to London Clubs International.

Ritz is now called 'Ritz Club' and the Cannes casino has been renamed 'Palm Beach' after the one in London
