Rather than requiring a notice on the chip, why not require any club member producing a fantasy chip to supply a front and back scan with date of manufacture to the club. A list with images could be maintained and easily printed off for reference. A quick check of the list before buying an unfamiliar chip would catch many mistakes before the purchase is made.
