I post here with the upmost respect for all, but I feel I have to jump in here because we as a group are making a mountain out of a mole hill, and need to lighten up a bit.
I became interested in this hobby as a direct result of having my own personal poker chips made. The research that I put into finding a perfect set of home chips led me to this BB. I would like to believe that ANYONE about to drop between $500 to $1000 on a home poker set would investigate the casino/chips a bit before throwing that kind of money around. If they don't they have more money than sense, and they should not feel surprised when they open their eyes and find out that the chips are fake/fantasy when the seller has been selling them as such all along.
The bottom line here is that when dealing with any kind of collectable the buyer has to at least look into what he or she is buying. If they don't sooner or later they are going to get burned (which was NOT the intent of the post that started this thread).
The post advertising the chips below was funny (As were some of the responses, especially the typhoon that sunk the cruise ship in the Gulf). It was designed to get people, experts in fact to take a look at a new product that the seller wanted to advertise.
I think the chips are great, and don't think they can hurt the hobby. We have more important things to worry about.
Respectfully,
