Dealers call them Bakelite. The true name is Catalin. They are early celluloid chips from the 1920's-1930's. I have several boxes of 100, sets of 200 in a catalin rack and many singles. Seymour mentions them in his book and shows some examples. They are not coded as most do not have a design on the face. The racks have more value than the chips. Both the chips & racks come in colors such as red, yellow, green, white, black, etc. Most are marbled but some are solid. A rack with 200 chips sells from 200.00-300.00. A box of 100 chips usually sells for 50.00-150.00. Individual chips go for a couple dollars each. Your red rim chip with the light center is the best one of your lot. You did OK.
