The fishing in Panguitch is usually excellent but last summer there was too much food in the water, water was flowing over the dam for quite a while because of the excellent snow runoff. We normally get trout - brownies, cut-throat, 'bows 1½ to 3 pounds - and there are many bigger fish. I've seen 8 to 10 pounders but not on my line. Stripers must be 22 inches or longer...they're in there to help reduce the Chubb. Why, I've seen pictures of some fish and the pictures weighed 15 pounds.
I'm quoting Brian here, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Maybe we can have a fishing and cigar smoking derby?
We'll have to see if we can get together. Wife Jan (or Janice, you pick) will fish now and then and loves to cook/eat 'em. Is the a great hobby or what?
