After passing through such Nevada small towns as Yerrington, Silver Springs, Mina, Luning, Hawthorne and Tonopah (where we stayed the night....we really did....no kidding )on our journey down U.S. 95 to the Palms Chip Show, we came upon the small town of Beatty, Nv.

What appears in the picture below is happening in other parts of Beatty.

The gas statiom where we used to stop is no longer there.

Another motel was boarded up.

Mayby the saddest of all was to find the Exchange Club with it's doors chained shut. Dark inside. We used to stop here and eat. The food wasn't all that good, but the club was. Sorry to see it go.

The pic below is of the once bustling Borro Inn. I used to eat and once stayed in the motel you can see in the background. You can see their little burro logo (upper,center,right).

Some Nevada small towns seem to be getting smaller.
