I've been neck-deep in database administration for IBM lately, pretty busy, but I have noticed that Vic's back on TheChipBoard, offering trades and sales with no concern whatsoever for his previous bad deals and scams.

Several new people on the board have noticed some of the bad feedback about Vic and have asked for further info, so I've re-posted my "form letter" and have emailed a few people who have asked me for details directly.

Vic's latest angle, as others have already pointed out, involve him publically thanking would-be trading partners by first name only, and some of those first names are completely unrecognizable. (Who the hell is "Clyde"?) The obvious scam here is that Vic is publicizing the "silent majority" of people who are willing to trade with him despite his very bad reputation, even if he has to make up a few names in order to create that impression.

I'll continue to post in response to any trade or sale offers he makes, as this seems to have had a very positive effect in warning others about Vic's shady techniques.

As most of you might already know, I was part of the PayPal class action suit, winning a small chunk of settlement for PayPal not handling my complaint about Vic in a timely fashion (i.e. not handling it at all), and as fate would have it, the settlement - $13.59 - was just about enough to cover the extra postage Vic gouged me for. But the problem with him is not settled, unless and until he makes good on his prior con jobs.
