Mark Cotton posted a scan of one of these highly desirable chips so I thought I'd post my pair. Purchased these two years ago on eBay for $9.36! Hardly seems believable does it! You snooze, you looze.

These beauties came from a joint in Marysville, CA. which operated in the mid-50's. Marysville is, of course, midway between Yuba City and Linda. A great place to live if you're a tomato. About an hour north on Hwy 99 of Paul Sax's base of poker operations in Tomato, er, Citrus Heights. Northern California.

Mark's Club Gambling Poker Chip I've been told these chips came from a card room that use to operate in Marysville, California from 1952 to 1966. Several movie stars of the time like John Wayne, Robert Stack, Clark Gable to name a few, while on pheasant and duck hunting trips to their private club in the northern Sacramento Valley Sutter Buttes use to frequent several of the local card rooms in the area. Mark's Club was one of them. The card rooms also would run a brothel on the side. In the mid '60's they were nearly all closed down for illegal gambling. What exactly that means, I'm not sure.
