About a month ago I had a great chat with Vern. He seems to be doing well dealing with the loss of Alice. It really was great to hear from him.

Recently he sent me a note and ask that I convey to everyone his apppreciation for all the kind words posted on the boards and for all the support everyone has offered.

Those of us who have had the pleasure to know Vern know how hard he has worked for the Club for so many years. We all hope he joins us at the June Convention. Truly one of the hobby's "nice guys".
