Seems like a perfectly reasonable attitude to me.

Last time I was in Vegas (for the convention) stayed part of week at the Rio. Hooker propositioned me ($500). I explained that was my gambling money. She said that she was more fun and a "sure winner". I explained to her that very well may be, but I have yet to learn how to gamble with myself.

Never spend gambling money on less important items.
