Gene, In a few of the casinos that I visited on my trip to Curacao, they had been using chips with similar inserts. Reminds me of a story...............
After being led to believe that some of the chips from Curacao were scarce, rare, difficult to find, locked up, destroyed, buried, smashed, dumped in the ocean, I was allowed, after a few introductions & some drinks, to enter the inner sanctum of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. In this room were shelves & shelves filled with "rare" chips that had not seen the light of day in 20 years, at least. I was given a few of each for my collection. I have not seen these chips in any guide nor did the authors who penned the guides, have any knowledge that these chips existed. Are these rare? They sure are IMHO. Are there 1,000's more? There sure is! The next collector that visits Curacao please get in touch with me before your trip.
