Yes, Lew Hymers was a commercial artist who did a lot of work for Reno businesses and casinos and drew caricatures of Northern Nevada's movers and shakers. His drawings were a regular feature of the Reno Evening Gazette during the 1930s and 1940s. (to quote an announcement regarding a show of his work a few years ago)
