I think David's number is a little light.
Yes we paid Dave to fix chips but he did it very reasonable and If I remember right gave us a couple.
The largest loss came from buying chips on ebay we thought could have been fixed and they weren't. Xrays do not tell the whole story unless you understand what you are seeing.
We xrayed a known fixed then an exact same suspect chip. Wasn't sure so had to remove both inlays. 2 chips shot. The bad part is we bought a 3rd one and it got lost in the mail between David, Allan, and I. We are talking about $80-$100 chips.
It was fun and we got a pretty good education on fixed chips.
I think you will be impressed when the resulting scans are finally displayed on David's site.
