I am a big collector of sample chips made by a chip manufacturer.
Personally I put very little value on chips that have been "mocked up" with paper inlays. I don't doubt yours were probably done by a designer at the HR. But on the other hand you would have a problem if you ever tried to prove it. They could have been done by anyone, anywhere.

That said, what is the difference what the value is? They are in your collection. You paid what you paid. Value is only important if you sell. Even at that time value does not mean much. The value will be what someone is willing to pay.
