Black's is a specialty dictionary, referencing legal definitions. One of the purposes is to insure continuity. Definitions of words may change over time, a word used in a legal sense may have a usage that hasn't been common in centuries.
ON the other hand, it could be exactly like Websters. More importantly nobody is admitting to having my copy. THis makes me sad.
