Steve; Congratulations! Now that's a RARE chip!...(unless a couple of boxes surface in the near future... or if it is proven to be an altered fantasy chip with a glued-on center inlay as you have described).
Nice find Steve,.... although I know absolutely nothing about the chip as I've never seen one before, nor has anyone ever brought a specimen to my attention for cataloging purposes.
I suspect that Greg may be on the right track with his theory of it possibly being a training chip, as the manufacturer of that mold has not been approved for A.C. chips.
Perhaps someone from Hilton (I suspect the original Hilton, former Trump Castle, not the current Hilton) could shed some additional light.
I do know that the chips used for Trump Castle's Fun Nite were generic. These chips may have been planned for use at the anticipated original Hilton's Fun Nite, prior to the property being sold to Donald Trump. But the licensing problem for the chip manufacturer and the now well-documented legend of Trump's huge ego.... it is doubtful that he would have wanted someone else's name on his new property's Fun Nite chip if he could avoid it. He had no choice with the Hilton table rack chips ... as they were already in place when he turned the key to open the door to Trump Castle following the mandatory Fun Nite. Of course this is all speculation on my part; but at this point, anyone's theory is a valid as any else's. Hope that you plan to follow up with DGE and CCC in an attempt to solve the mystery.
