last night. Just as Greg (and Andy and Jay) offer the Chipboard King of Poker Tournament on PokerStars, there is another BBS I participate in where their webmaster (another Greg) put on a weekly poker tournament.
I played for the first time there (last night) and made it to 6th place (which paid $35). The remaining players played until they were four and decided to split the remaining payouts equally between the four of them, but to play the rest of the tournament to determine point standings.
What was interesting was that they emailed for a PokerStars Support Representative. While they waited for the response, they all put their playing position into the "sitting out" mode. Hands were blinded, anted, dealt and won by the Big Blind in very rapid sucession. After a period of time, a Support person came into the game (on the "chat" section) and asked what was up. Support typing is in red.
The remaining players explained they wanted a four-way chop with the money, but to continue playing. Support verified with each player that they all wanted to do it and after he had a yes, he split the money, paid their accounts and the game went on.
The support person hung around for a few minutes answering other questions (even from observers, like me) and then left.
No big deal, but I just found it interesting.
