I suppose if you feel that protecting our country from terrorists is the same as dealing with Mother Nature! How do you think the President should have stopped Katrina from attacking us?

I don't give a hoot about politics, and figure the President is mostly like the CEO and figurhead. We have other branches, checks and balances... laws and regulations.

Now lets wonder why the City didn't evacuate people properly, according to their own plan, didn't have food and water in the shelters, didn't take care of things at home. They left al the city busses and school busses to sink, instead of mobilizing them to help people evacuate, in the first place.

Maybe ask why the State waited a day before giving permission to the Feds to come in and help.

Then the Mayor and the Gov. scream that they need help and have been ignored.

Just because the Feds are getting slammed left and right, don't ingore the causes. Natural disaster and incompetent people in Lousiana and New Orleans trying to deflect the criticism by blaming the President.

This is a natural disaster, not some political football. I wish people would open their eyes and see what's going on, instead of taking a biased view and try to find ways to lay blame on someone who had almost nothing to do with the problems, but has worked hard to help and find solutions.

Things that were pointed out while Clinton was in office, were not fixed, the same as with Bush. The Corps of engineers have been warning for 20 years and so have others.

Blame politics for this whole screw up, not the President.
