Help what's left to help....they will have their investigations many months from now...but what happened has happened...and it is the Red Tape that screws things up...always has been, always will be...does anyone really think a major terrorist attack this wide spread would be much differant responce time wise, help wise? Nobody is prepared for any disaster no matter what anyone thinks or hopes for...what's going to happen when the "BIG ONE" hits California...think it's going to be any differant than this one? It's all about money...yes they should have re-built the levys many years ago...but they didn't and everyone still stayed there. Yes the Gov. should have called out the Guard faster....to do what...when they themselves had their own disaster just like everyone else. No phones...no electric...the only thing I think should have been differant is that Bush should not have go to Calif and returned to DC a day ahead of time. And what I really don't understand is...if during the war we could build pontoons to cross major rivers and can hold big loaded trucks and even Pattons tanks....where are they and why weren't they there sooner...
We all have or grips I guess...only natural when you feel helpless and can't be there to help the folks.
