Two accounts. Cheap stuff I list with the No CC account, larger items with the one that takes CC.

If I read this right, what they are saying is that if you say "I take PayPal" you must accept both forms of payment. (AKA Paypal extortion)

If you want to only take direct transfers, you can't have PayPal listed in the auction at all, but you can write in the bill when you send the invoice that you can accept PayPal fund transfer as an option.

Checks and MOs work for me, if they don't want my business, I can drop all PayPal. It just slows everything down for the buyers, doesn't change anything for me.
