It is sad to see this happening. I understand the financial reasons for doing it.

It also affects our hobby, at least here in Colorado. $1 chips are only used on poker tables. That leaves two casinos in Cripple Creek (The Gold Rush and Midnight Rose), one casino in Central City (Harvey's, though the reopened Toll Gate might have poker, I haven't been up there since they reopened), and four casinos in Black Hawk (Bullwacker's, Bull Durham, Gilpin and the Lodge) that have live $1 chips. Seven or eight out of about 50 casinos is a lousy number for those who collect $1 chips.
