You start counting with .0000001 seconds (or however accurate the instrument that you are using to measure time is capabale of measuring), after zero.
I know that I'm not gonna convince you that my perspective on this subject is the right one, and given that I have spent 1000's of hours reporting events happening that rely on the accuracy of such measuring devices to report real time passage, I can't accept new as starting after one action has passed. New is the start of the action, in this case, the passage of time. Everything starts at zero. Who wrote the calender that we deal with didn't know then. ....perhaps they should stand corrected.
