A bunch of these have appeared on recently. Can anybody shed some light on them? Below is the description from the most recent auction.

"Description
Mizpah Hotel Casino $10.00 Chip.This hotel and casino was originally built in 1907 and newly renovated in 1978. Casino is located in Tonopah Nevada. This chip was never used in the casino. It was made in error, the word Tonopah is misspelled "Tohopah". This design will never be used again. The legitimacy and reason these chips were made is unclear."
