It was done in two phases - first the property and name moved from the Binion family to Harrahs on 04/01/2004 (in conjunction with MTR) and then the property moved to MTR and the Horseshoe name remained with Harrahs Corp (as well as the WSOP). I think it was March 1st of this year.
As of right now they have pretty much removed all the "horseshoe" remnants from the property. There are still a few remaining but the major ones (signage, coin cups, chips, machines, dice, name badges) all have the "Binions" name. Some of the staff still wear the old Horseshoe shirts (covered with a name badge) and there is still the "Binions Horseshoe" on the welcome mats near the valet. The carpet still has the horseshoes as well.
