Before I go further, I want to join with those who thanked our hard working board and volunteers for all they need to make the convention a success.

That being said, I agree completely with Trav's comments regarding the Riviera. It is, in a word, a dump; moldy smelling rooms, towels as thin as cheese cloth and a poker room that rakes $4 in their only cash game which is $2-$4. If I go next year, I will definitely not stay there.

So, for future years, how about picking a place off the strip like The Orleans? We don't need to be on the strip--it's just as easy to get from The Orleans to the strip as it is to get up and down the strip. It's impossible to walk the strip except to go across to the Stardust and the trolley/buses are non-existent. So you end up in a cab that goes all over h--- to avoid the strip traffic.

While these are my own observations I want to add that I shared these with others who agreed with me about the Riviera and the location.
