ATTENTION CHIP COLLECTORS!!!
You all saw the post of the extremely rare Palace Station "Flood Chips" that I offered for sale recently. These chips, of which only 25 examples existed, were offered for the bargain price of $550 dollars each or an even dozen for $1100. Well, the demand has been great. Gene ordered a dozen. A bunch of other fellows bought one each. Greg sent me a check for three dozen. (Somebody has to explain to Greg how many are in a dozen...)
Well, the rarity of these chips has increased by leaps and bounds! Gene decided to take a drive up to Reno, and took his dozen along to show off to other collectors (and he was afraid for their safety if he left them back at home).
En route, his car broke down in the desert, and he thought of the survival tip he had once heard - you can drink the water from the car's radiator to survive. He was stunned when he realized he was driving his old VW Beetle with an air-cooled engine. Driven mad by thirst, he finally broke open the plastic holders of eleven of his twelve "Flood Chips" and drank the water out of them. This kept him alive long enough for help to arrive.
So now, instead of 25 in existence, there are only 14! And I only have a few of those left for sale and I will be raising the price to $1500 per chip. (Please add 32 cents for postage.)
Note, the price may go up again. Gene mentioned the water tasted really good, and has been thinking about cracking open that last one he has. Then there would only be 13! (or maybe twelve... he really described the taste as fantastic, and I may open one myself...)
