Jerome is a really cool ghost town. An extra-large mining blast has caused the town to begin slipping down the mountain. This is evidenced if you look at the old jail. The building is several feet away from the road and sidewalk.

Jerome is also haunted. The current hotel used to be the town hospital, and has been featured on the FOX show "Sightings" and on the Travel Channel.

Just below Jerome is a fantastic, Anasazi prehistoric site, called Tuzigoot.

The switchback drive up the mountain to Jerome can be a little hairy tho.!

But do go! Jerome and Tuzigoot are worth your time!
