The problem is that Vic is just a common con artist looking for new "Vic"-tims by posting trade offers, and he's not looking for a pointless inflated hits counter on his posts. I've gotten virtually 100% positive comments by posting the form letter warning. There's something seriously wrong with a guy who will sell out his own reputation for a couple of bucks, cheerfully ignore any complaints, refuse to join the national organization (or get kicked out of his own local group) because he can't live up to the ethical standards, take high quality chips out of a Round Robin replacing them with what he later described as "his own crappy chips," or have chips from his end of trades mysteriously disappear in the mail. He's either maliciously bent, or just too stupid to understand that what he's doing is wrong. Personally, I estimate it's "a little from Column A, and a little from Column B." In either case, it's a good idea to warn those who haven't heard of Vic's unique customer service policy (an offshoot of "We screw the other guy, and pass the savings on to you" combined with "You got screwed. Get over it") to reduce the number of "Vic"-tims at least on this board.
Best,
WMD
