I was on Wake Island in 68-69-70 and 71..sorry no bowling alley. only a runway
a few buildings and "Drifters Reef", a sand floored bar where shorts were the
only required clothing and the beer was cold. No walls--just a hitching rail
out front for your horse(or swiming gear). The only ONLY place in the world
to get away from it all. But no bowling alley......of course a typhoon may
have taken it away...
