I think that part of the "problem" with the $8
In Response To: palace station 8 dollar chip ()

chip was that it was only useful on Pai Gow. HOWEVER, whenever you won with just $8 bet, they charged a commission greater than 5%!

This made the chip useless. I would also venture to say that dealers and cage people had difficulty counting by 8's! vbg
