Yeah - you would be wrong again <g>. The NV rate is 6.25% on win above the 1st $150,000 (+/- a few $'s) calculated as follows (this is the basic formula without figuring marker credits):
Closing Inventory
+ Drop
+ Credits (chips taken back to cage)
- Opening Inventory
- Fills
= Win
Think what happens if a chipper buys a $5 chip from a table and the money is dropped. Nothing - the net effect is Zero. For example (will assume $100 in rack):
Closing Inv w/b $95
Drop = $5
Opening Inv w/b $100
Win = $0
A casinos hope for making a chipper buy the chip on a game is that he/she will play and lose while getting the chip they want. Even after 4 years at the GCB - my mind hasn't gone to mush yet!
