Mark, We must be thinking alike.. I sent the same question last night, and got the same response. Simple solution.. I sent a follow up request today politely asking for a scan of the other side of the chip to be emailed to me since I always like to see both sides of a chip when bidding on a high end chip. Any legitimate chip seller who has the chip in his possession would be happy to provide a serious bidder with that (not that I claim to be a serious bidder) Might take a little work to invert the image and show me the other side don't you think? What do you want to bet I never see that scan?
